Ration Card Latest Update: The Government of India has made it compulsory for all Ration Card holders. If you are a Ration Card holder then you are required to complete your e KYC process. 7.55 lakh People will lose ration benefits and it needs to complete ration ekyc process. These new rules Staring From 1 January 2025. Earlier the Government had, extended the deadline to January 31 then February 15, and now, the fresh deadline is March 31 2025. Speaking to reporters, the minister Said adding that nearly 12 lakh e-KYCs are pending in remote locations. The Government had extended the deadline across the state for left -out people to complete the process.

If you do not do so, your ration card may be denied and you will not get the benefit of ration card. From this step ration card process makes transparency and good governance.

Documents Required for Ration Card in 2025

• Proof of identity such as Aadhar Card, Voter Id Card Etc.
• Proof of Address Such as utility Bills Etc
• BPL Certificate or Income Certificate
• Passport Sized Photographs.

Ration Card Latest Update : How to Complete e KYC For Ration Card

• Visit the official Ration card or public distribution system(PDS) portal your state wise accordingly.
• Login using your registered coresidential or create an account by providing basic details such as your Mobile Number of Email ID.
• Navigate to e-KYC Section typically found under “the Ration Card Services” or “Update  Details” section on the homepage.
• Input the Aadhar Number linked to the head of the family or ration card holder and ensure the Mobile Number linked to Aadhar is Active.
• A one time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number. Enter the  OTP on the portal to verify your Aadhar.
• After Successful verification, your e-KYC will be Updated. You can save or take screenshot of the acknowledge for future reference.
